Federal Elections in Canada are just a few months away (October to be precise) and many believe this federal election in Canada would be the dirtiest that Canada has ever seen (PUN unintended). As a result, we thought of taking a step forward for our readers in terms of starting the coverage for this forthcoming federal election in Canada.
For starters, Canada has a total of 338 federal electoral districts with over 65% of these seats in Ontario (121 Seats) and Quebec (78 Seats), followed by British Columbia (42 Seats), Alberta (34 Seats), Saskatchewan (14 Seats), Manitoba (14 Seats).
Although we would love to cover all 338 federal ridings (electoral districts) at YegDesi.com but at the moment, it is beyond our scope. We are going hyper-local and will focus on Edmonton and Calgary since these are our home-turf. We will also cover Alberta as a whole and provide as much information as we can so that YOU can make an informed decision. Like always, YegDesi.com is all about celebrating our South Asian (desi) presence in Canada so we will cover all the ridings with a sizeable Desi ethnic presence.
