9910 is a night club in Downtown Edmonton that has been operating with a simple mantra – music is a way of life
They opened the doors of 9910 to fill the void left behind by other closing venues. It has a fully floating sound room — none of the walls or pillars touches the foundation of the building, says Rob Clarke, one of the owners of 9910 and The Common. So the sound doesn’t bounce around or leak out. It’s like a recording studio.
Visit on Fridays and you’ll most likely find yourself dancing to live DJs playing house, bass or techno music. They reserve many Saturday nights for live bands and have one-off events like Drag Queen Bingo, Hip Hop Karaoke or Comedy during the week.
Their 126-person venue is also available for private bookings. Equipped with chic seating areas and a stage, it’s perfect for all event types, such as industry premieres, corporate gatherings, product launches, holiday receptions, and more. The space bids a number of configurations, depending on event requirements.
